Hi, I am Maha, and I work in the Premium Accounting Department at Northbridge Financial Corporation. In this department I get direct hands-on experience in assisting with bank reconciliation, as well as working on cross departmental functions such as taxes and audits. 

 

Northbridge has been wonderful in allowing me to explore different projects while engaged in my internship. This experience has allowed me to get the most of out of my internship and help focus what I would like to do in the future.

 

The most exciting day at Northbridge thus far was having the opportunity to connect with the “C-Suite” during the Pathways Breakfast. This opportunity allowed me to sit down with senior executives to see how they got to where they are today.

 

In the next five years I plan on obtaining my professional accounting designation while working towards my goal of becoming a Chief Financial Officer someday.

 

Finally, I would recommend an internship to anyone. This opportunity is providing me with skills and experiences, such as learning professional etiquette, team work, and time management, that will serve me for years to come. Thank you Northbridge.
